Xiaomi had launched the Snapdragon 855 SoC powered Black Shark 2 gaming phone in China on March 18. Today, the company has unveiled the Black Shark 2 Pro smartphone in the home market. It is the first Xiaomi phone to be fueled by Snapdragon 855+ chipset.
Black Shark 2 Pro Specifications and Features
The Black Shark 2 Pro features a 6.39-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with in-screen fingerprint scanner. It supports DC Diming 2.0 and Magic Press 2.0 with touch latency of 34.7ms. The SD855+ SoC of the phone is coupled with 12 GB of RAM. The handset comes in 128 GB and 256 GB storage models. The Black Shark OS based Android 9 Pie OS runs on the device.
The rear side of the Black Shark 2 Pro is fitted with Sony IMX586 48-megapixel + 13-megapixel triple camera setup. It is equipped with a 4,000mah battery that supports 27W rapid charging. It retains 3.5mm audio jack slot. The Chinese manufacture also unveiled a couple of gaming-centric accessories for the Black Shark 2 Pro.
Black Shark 2 Pro Price and Release Date
The 128 GB and 256 GB variants of the Black Shark 2 Pro variants are respectively priced at 2,999 Yuan ($435) and 3,499 Yuan ($508). The first sale of the phone will begin on Aug. 2 in the home market.
