MediaTek had launched the Helio G90 and Helio G90T gaming focused chipsets at the end of the previous month. Soon after the announcement, Redmi brand in China confirmed that they will be launching the first Helio G90T powered smartphone. Earlier today, Redmi confirmed that it will be announcing the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro smartphones on Aug. 29 in China. It seems that the rumors have come true as MediaTek has also claimed that Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro will be both featuring the Helio G90T.
The above shown poster shows the collaboration between MediaTek and Redmi which allows the latter to launch Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro as the first phones with Helio G90T onboard. Both smartphones are expected to arrive with quad rear cameras. However, the Pro variant could arrive as the world’s first smartphone with 64-megapixel Samsung GW1 sensor in its quad camera system.
There is no information available on the other specs of the Redmi Note 8 Pro. Probably, it could be arriving with up to 8 GB of RAM and it may include a massive battery. Redmi is expected to reveal more information on the Redmi Note 8 series through more teasers in the coming days.
