Earlier today, OPPO has just confirmed that the highly anticipated Reno 2 series will be officially announced in China on September 10th. This time round, India will be the first market to launch the Reno 2 series on August 29th where they are expected to introduce a trio of smartphones including the OPPO Reno 2, Reno 2Z and Reno 2F.
Now, the OPPO Reno 2 with model number PCKM00 had been benchmarked by AnTuTu, revealing a decent score of 259,109 points. This was the same device which was recently certified by the Chinese TENAA authority. While the score is comparatively higher than some of the mid-ranger smartphones in the market, it is still slightly lower than the upcoming Redmi Note 8 Pro which has achieved an impressive score of 281,033 points.
OPPO Reno 2 Specifications
From what we’d learned so far, the OPPO Reno 2 will arrive with a 6.5-inch AMOLED display that supports full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels.
The device will be driven by a Snapdragon 730G SoC under the hood, alongside 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB internal storage space in it’s memory compartment.
Moving on to it’s camera, there is a 48MP+13MP+8MP+2MP quad-camera setup on it’s rear chassis. At the front, there will be a shark fin-style popup camera which houses a 16 megapixels sensor. Furthermore, it’s official video teaser had already revealed that the device will feature up to 20x digital zoom and has an Ultra Steady Mode which allows you to shoot clearer and steadier video.
The OPPO Reno 2 will also come loaded with the ColorOS 6 based on Android Pie OS. A 4,000 mAh non-removable battery with 20W VOOC fast-charging is also available to it’s lights on for an extended period of time.
