Huawei Mate X May Release Next Month Along with its Kirin 990 Edition

Samsung has relaunched the Galaxy Fold foldable phone by fixing its design related issues. Huawei’s Mate X foldable phone is also yet to release in the market. At the IFA 2019 briefing, Huawei Consumer Group CEO Richard Yu said that the Mate X may release in the market as early as October or in November.

The Mate X was expected to hit the market in August. However, its release was delayed without revealing any reason. Some reports in the past had claimed that the Mate X will be coming with Kirin 990 may turn out to be true.

The company is expected to release the Mate X in two versions now. One variant could be fueled by Kirin 980 chipset that was announced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019. The other model could be featuring the newly announced Kirin 990 SoC that was recently made official at the IFA 2019 tech event. Hopefully, more details on the two variants of the Mate X may surface ahead of their market release.
