In December last year, Huawei had launched the Nova 4 smartphone. The Huawei Nova 5 series was announced in mid-2019 and the company is likely to debut the Nova 6 series by the end of the month. A Chinese tipster has revealed that the Huawei Nova 6 5G phone that has a model number of WLZ-AN00 has passed CMIIT certification. This indicates that the smartphone is inching towards its launch.
The tipster has claimed that the Kirin 990 is the only commercially available flagship 5G chipset. This works as advantage for the company as its rivals are couple of months away from launching their 5G phones powered by flagship 5G chipset. The Exynos 990 that comes integrated with 5G modem is expected to be first seen on the Galaxy S11 series that will go official in the first quarter of the coming year. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 5G chipset will go official by the end of the year and phones featuring it may debut in December or at the beginning of 2020. This provides Huawei with couple of months of time to release its 5G flagship phones in the market ahead of its rivals.
The Honor V30 series is expected to go official in the coming month. The Nova 6 5G is likely to go debut in December. The company may also release it in 4G LTE only version.
