Samsung Galaxy A71 Could be the First Exynos 980 Chipset Powered Phone

Samsung holds a very dismal market share in China. However, it is still working on bringing newer phones in the Chinese market. On Nov. 19, the South Korean company will be launching the Galaxy W20 5G phone. Even though the new sounds new, it will be a 5G version of the Galaxy Fold powered by the newer Snapdragon 855+ mobile platform. Fresh information shared by Sammobile reveals that Samsung could be soon launching the Galaxy A71 smartphone powered with Exynos 980 SoC in China.

Samsung Galaxy A70s

The publication has revealed that the upcoming Galaxy A71 for China has a model number of SM-A716B whereas the variant for the global markets has SM-A715F. The Chinese model is expected to arrive with support for 5G connectivity. The device is rumored to be equipped with a native storage of 128 GB.

The Galaxy A71 is expected to come with Exynos 980 5G chipset that was recently showcased at Vivo-Samsung joint conference. The Exynos 980 chipset will be powering the Vivo X30 that is debuting in December. If the Galaxy A71 is to arrive as the first phone with Exynos 980, it may debut before Vivo X30. Hopefully, more details on the phone may surface in the coming weeks.
