OPPO Reno3 Pro will be driven by Snapdragon 765G SoC

During the annual Snapdragon Technology Summit, OPPO has officially confirmed that the company’s upcoming OPPO Reno3 Pro will be driven by the latest Snapdragon 765G SoC which features an integrated 5G modem.

Alongside the Redmi K30 5G, the Reno3 Pro is expected to be among the first in the world to debut with the Snapdragon 765G SoC.

As compared to the current Snapdragon 730G SoC, the new chip promises advanced AI processing, up to 192 megapixels still images, 4K HDR recordings, as well as a load of other interesting features.

Besides being one of the pioneer batch of smartphones with Snapdragon 765G SoC, the Reno3 Pro is also touted to be one of the slimmest and lightest 5G smartphone in the market.

According to the OPPO’s VP Brian Shen, the Reno 3 Pro will come with a slim profile of just 7.7mm (excluding the lens) and weighs less than 180g.

However, unlike the current OPPO Reno 10x Zoom or Reno2, the upcoming Reno3 Pro will not feature a shark fin-style pop-up module for it’s selfie camera. Instead, it will come with a hole-punched display for housing the front-facing camera.

In terms of it’s 5G connectivity, the Reno3 Pro will support both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) modes.
