Apple iPhone 9 / iPhone SE 2 Renders Leak Design Ahead of Speculated March Launch

Since the past few months, the rumor mill has been claiming that the Apple will be holding a launch event in March 2020. The Cupertino company was previously rumored to launch iPhone SE 2 at the upcoming March event. However, recent information that surfaced from China claimed that the company’s forthcoming compact sized phone will be arriving as iPhone 9. It is speculated that the iPhone 9 Plus with a bigger screen than the iPhone 9 will also be unveiled together. Reliable tipster OnLeaks has collaborated with iGeeksblog to reveal the CAD renders of the iPhone 9. It reveals that the smartphone will be sporting a design that is quite similar to the iPhone 8.

iPhone 9 Design

The iPhone 9 CAD renders show that it has 16:9 aspect ratio supporting screen as it features thick bezels on its 4.7-inch display. It is expected to house a Liquid Retina LCD screen.

The top bezel of the smartphone houses a front camera of 8-megapixel. The bottom bezel of the phone has a Touch ID sensor which indicates that it may not feature Face ID support.

The iPhone 9 is said to measure nearly 138.5 x 67.4 x 7.8mm. The thickness of the device increases slightly to 8.6mm at the camera bump. The power button is on the right spine of the device whereas its left edge is equipped with volume buttons and an alert slider. The Lighting port is available with two external speakers on the bottom edge of the device. A single camera with LED flash is placed on the frosted glass rear of the iPhone 9.

iPhone 9 Specifications

The iPhone 9 could be powered with Apple A13 Bionic chipset and 3 GB of RAM. It could be releasing in 64 GB and 128 GB storage editions. The handset is expected to arrive with a starting cost of $399.
