After the launch of Black Shark 2 Pro back in July last year, there are now reports that the next generation’s Black Shark gaming phone is now in the pipeline. This device according to reports, will be known as Black Shark 3.
Today, a pair of alleged leaked images of the upcoming Black Shark 3 were reportedly spotted on Chinese Weibo which revealed some juicy details pertaining to device’s front display.
Seen above, the close-up shot of the device’s setting page had shown that users are able to select between 1080p (FHD) resolution or an insanely high 2K screen resolution. This option is obviously needed as the users may choose to conserve their phone battery by opting for 1080p resolution during normal usage.
Similarly, the next alleged shot also revealed that the device could support up to 120Hz screen refresh rate this time round. The current Black Shark 2 Pro in comparison, only has 60Hz refresh rate.
In fact, even non-gaming smartphones are also gearing up for high refresh rate displays including the recently unveiled Redmi K30 and Realme X50. Therefore, it’ll be a real disappointment if the Black Shark 3 misses out on this crucial feature.
Even for Nubia’s upcoming Red Magic smartphone, the company’s co-founder Ni Fei had earlier hinted that the device may arrive with a 144Hz display. No doubt, we’re going to see more and more smartphones with 120Hz displays this year.
