Galaxy Z Flip Could be the Name of Samsung’s Flip Phone

Samsung has confirmed that it will be holding a Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event on Feb. 11. The South Korean company is expected to unveil the Galaxy S20 series on the said date. Alongside it, it will be announcing its clamshell phone with foldable screen. The device was showcased behind closed doors at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020 tech exhibition. At the event, the company called the device as Galaxy Bloom. The said name is believed to be the codename of the device. Today, a reliable tipster Ice Universe from China shared an image that revels the Galaxy Z Flip. It will most likely be the name of the South Korean company’s upcoming clamshell device.

The leaked shots of the Galaxy Z Flip clamshell device had appeared in December. It is expected to debut as the first foldable smartphone with ultra-thin glass.

The clamshell device will be equipped with a 6.7-inch foldable screen. It can be folded and unfolded horizontally. Once folded, it turns into a small squared shaped device. There is a punch-hole on the screen for the front camera.

The Galaxy Z Flip has a dual camera setup on its rear along with an LED flash. It has a 1-inch secondary display alongside the dual camera setup for showing notifications.

The specifications of the Galaxy Z Flip are currently under the wraps. The only thing that is known about the device that is fueled by Snapdragon 855 mobile platform.
