Last year, Google had announced the Google Pixel 3a smartphone at the Google I/O event in May 2019. The search engine giant is expected to announce its successor around the same time next month since the Google I/O 2020 event has been canceled due to COVID-19 outbreak. 9to5Google’s new report has revealed a lot of information on its specifications
The new report reveals that the Google Pixel 4a has a plastic chassis. The handset has a 5.81-inch OLED display with a punch-hole at the top-left corner. It will produce full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The handset has an 8-megapixel selfie camera with a field-of-view of 84 degrees. It will support 1080p video recording.
The rear side of the Pixel 4a has a square-shaped camera module that houses a 12.2-megapixel single camera and an LED flash. It will be blessed with features like autofocus, EIS and OIS. The device will support five modes of video recording such as 240fps 720p, 30fps 1080p, 60fps 1080p, 120fps 1080p and 30fps 4K.
The Snapdragon 730 chipset will power the Google Pixel 4a and I will ship with Titan M security chip. The phone will draw power from a 3,080mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging through USB-C. The Pixel 4a will have a 3.5mm audio jack and a rear-facing fingerprint reader.
The Pixel 4a will come in Black and Barely Blue color editions. It seems that there won’t be a white model this year. It is likely to cost $399. Again, the launch date of the smartphone remains a mystery.
