The ongoing coronavirus outbreak had saw a global decline in smartphone shipments during the first-quarter of the year. However, the sales figure of the luxurious Galaxy Z Flip seems promising for the month of March according to a recent report.
It is claimed that a total of 230,000 units were sold during that month which equates to a 56.1 percent month-on-month increment over the month of February.
Surely, this is a pleasant sign which shows that consumers are now ready to make their switch over to foldable smartphones despite the slightly higher price tag.
In order to further improve the sales performance of the Galaxy Z Flip, Samsung has introduced the Mirror Gold variant of the device to a number of markets including India.
Recently, reports had also suggested that Samsung will be introducing another foldable smartphone – Galaxy Fold 2 – during the second-halve of the year.
