Android Rumors Honor Leaked News

Honor Play 4 Pro May Come with Kirin 990 and 3,000 Yuan Pricing

Yesterday, the upcoming Honor Play 4 Pro smartphone was found listed on a Chinese retailer site. The listing carried the images of the smartphone. Initial speculations suggested that it could be a Kirin 820 powered device. However, a leakster who is known for revealing leaked information of forthcoming Huawei and Honor smartphone has claimed that the Kirin 990 SoC will be powering the device.

Honor Play 4 Pro

The leakster claims that the Honor Play 4 Pro is a gaming flagship. This is quite evident from the blue-colored gaming-focused design of the smartphone. He claims that it is the successor of the Honor Play gaming-centric phone that debuted back in 2018.

It is speculated that the Honor Play 4 Pro will debut either in June or July. Just as the Honor Play featured the then Kirin 970 flagship chipset, the Honor Play 4 Pro is expected to feature Kirin 990 5G flagship SoC. The device is expected to be priced around 3,000 Yuan. It is expected to arrive with support for 40W fast charging.

Despite it being speculated as a flagship device, the handset features a dual-camera setup on its back. Its primary lens could be the Sony IMX600Y 40-megapixel sensor.

The Honor Play 4 Pro has a dual selfie camera cutout its LCD panel. It features a side-facing fingerprint reader. The detailed specs sheet of the Play 4 Pro has not surfaced yet. The handset is rumored to have a model number of OXP-AN00. The handset was spotted receiving 3C and Wi-Fi certifications in April. While 3C revealed that it may come with a 40W charger, its Wi-Fi certification stated that it is loaded with EMUI 10.1 based Android 10 OS.
