Last year, Xiaomi introduced the Xiaomi Mi CC9e, Mi CC9 and Mi CC9 Pro smartphones in July in China. Rumors have it that the Xiaomi Mi CC10 series will debut in the coming month. A Russian tech site has revealed that the Xiaomi Mi CC10 will be sporting a 108-megapixel camera and it will arrive with support for 120x digital zoom.
Well-known tipster Xiaomishka has mentioned on the Russian tech blog that the upcoming Mi CC10 is codenamed as CAS. The leak reveals that the zoom capabilities of the smartphone will exceed the existing analogues available in the market. The engineering prototype of the device is said support up to 120x digital zoom.
In order to provide users with 120x zoom on the Xiaomi Mi CC10, the Chinese firm will be using the same technology that is available on the Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition that offers 50x digital zoom. The phone is expected to arrive with support for 12x optical zoom.
The handset will be using the 108-megapixel Samsung lens as the main camera. However, it won’t be the Samsung HM1 108-megapixel lens that the company has used in the past for its smartphones like Xiaomi Mi 10 series and Mi CC9 Pro. It is likely to feature the new and improved Samsung HM2 108-megapixel sensor.
The leak further states that the smartphone may feature the yet-to-be announced Snapdragon 775 SoC that will bring support for 5G connectivity. The handset is also expected to carry support for NFC.
Last year, the 108-megapixel lens was reserved for the Pro model in the Mi CC9 series. Hence, it is likely that the 108-megapixel Samsung HM2 lens equipped Xiaomi phone could be coming to Chinese markets as Mi CC10 Pro.
