Honor 30S launched in Russia as rebranded Huawei Nova 7 SE

After launching the Honor 30 and Honor 30 Pro+ in Russia last month, the Chinese smartphone maker is now back with a new mid-ranger handset for the Russian market – Honor 30S.

Surprisingly, the Honor 30S isn’t the same device as the one which was launched in the Chinese market back in March this year. Instead, it will be a rebranded model of the newly announced Huawei Nova 7 SE.

For starter, the Honor 30S features a 6.5-inches LCD display which boasts an impressive FHD+ screen resolution. The front panel utilizes a hole-punch design to house a 16 megapixels selfie camera.

To the back of the device, there will be a presence of a quad-cameras setup which includes a 64 megapixels main camera which will be supported by an 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 2 megapixels macro camera and a 2 megapixels depth sensor.

Under the hood, the Honor 30S is fueled by the latest Kirin 820 SoC which offers considerable performance boost over last generation’s Kirin 810 SoC, and brings 5G support to the device as well. This will be assisted by 6GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage in the memory department.

To keep its lights on, the Honor 30S is fitted with a respectable 4,000mAh battery which is capable of supporting up to 40W fast-charging. As usual, this device will boot on the latest EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10 (AOSP version).

For those who’re interested, the device will be available in three different colorways including Neon Purple, Titanium Silver and Midnight Black. It will be priced at RUB27,990 (US$403) for its sole 6GB+128GB model.
