OPPO Reno3 A goes official with Snapdragon 665, 48MP Quad-cameras & fast-charging support

OPPO has silently announced a new mid-ranger smartphone in the Japanese market known as the OPPO Reno3 A. This device, unlike its Reno3 and Reno3 Pro sibling, will offer a slightly toned-down specs at a more affordable price point.

For starter, the OPPO Reno3 A features a dewdrop-notch design for its front panel which measures 6.44-inches diagonally. It will be an AMOLED display which boasts a FHD+ screen resolution and offers and deliver an overall 89.9% screen-to-body ratio.

The front display is also shielded by a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 atop to protect the device against accidental drops. Other than that, there will also be an in-display fingerprint scanner as well.

Over on its back panel, the OPPO Reno3 A is fitted with a pill-shaped camera housing on the top-left corner which play host to a quad-cameras system. This cameras include a 48 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 2 megapixels depth sensor, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera. Its camera department will be completed by a 16 megapixels selfie camera at the front.

Under the hood, the OPPO Reno3 A is driven by an octa-core Snapdragon 665 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage which is further expandable via a microSD card.

To keep its lights on, there will be an ample 4,025mAh battery with fast-charging capability. As usual, the device will be shipped with OPPO’s custom ColorOS 7.1 based on Android 10 OS.

In the Japanese market, the OPPO Reno3 A will be priced at 39,800 Yen (US$372) for its sole 6GB+128GB model.
