With just a couple of month(s) away from the official launch of the highly-anticipated Huawei Mate 40 flagship series, its inevitable to see more rumors and leaks flowing in from across the web.
Today, courtesy of highly-accredited leaker @onleaks, we’re finally able to have our near-official look at both the upcoming Huawei Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro devices via a set of CAD renderings.
This time round, the Huawei Mate 40 is tipped to feature a slightly smaller 6.4-inches front display – down from the 6.62-inches display we currently see on the Huawei Mate 30.
As for the Mate 40 Pro, it front display will be slightly bumped up from 6.53-inches to approximately 6.7-inches. Therefore, the “Pro” model will finally be equipped with a larger display than the vanilla model.
From the renderings, it is obvious that both the Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro will be coming with a curved panel at the front. However, the curves along the edges will be more pronounced for the Mate 40 Pro which seems to maintain the same ultra-curved, horizon display on the Mate 30 Pro.
Other than that, both the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro will also have a pill-shape cutout on the upper-left corner which is likely to play host to a pair of selfie cameras.
Over at the back, we will be greeted by a familiar circular camera module which seems to be considerably larger than the current Mate 30 series phones. However, Huawei seems to have omitted the “Halo ring” which was present in its predecessor.
Just like the Mate 30 series, the upcoming Huawei Mate 40 will continue to sport a triple-camera system, while the “Pro” model will have four cameras at the back.
Despite the huge and obvious camera bump, the Mate 40 series still looks pretty good based on the current CAD renderings. This will be an exciting flagship series which will be matched against the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note20 series.
