Vivo Y20 series debuts with Snapdragon 460 & three cameras at the back

Over the last weekend, we’d already seen the leaked promo materials of the upcoming Vivo Y20 series smartphones. Fast-forward five days, the Vivo Y20 and Y20i duo have finally made their official debut in India today.

In terms of specs and design, both the Vivo Y20 and Y20i are largely similar. The only notable differences between them are the amount of RAM, the lack of fast-charging on the Y20i, as well as the color options which are available for the pair.

Starting off with the front, both the Vivo Y20 and Y20i smartphones feature a 6.51-inches Halo Full View display which employs a dewdrop-notch design for it’s 8 megapixels selfie camera.

Flipping the device over, there will be a rectangular camera module which houses a triple-cameras system alongside a LED flash. The three cameras at the back include a 13 megapixels primary shooter, 2 megapixels bokeh camera, as well as a 2 megapixels super macro camera.

At the helm, both the Vivo Y20 and Y20i will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 460 chipset alongside an expandable 64GB onboard storage. For the Vivo Y20, it will come with 4GB worth of RAM, while the toned-down Y20i only has 3GB RAM in the memory department.

Moving on, the duo will be equipped with a massive 5,000mAh battery which is capable of supporting long hours of usage on the go. Sad to say, the 18W fast-charging will be available only to the Vivo Y20, and not the Y20i. Other key highlights include the presence of a 3.5mm headphone jack, as well as a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

For those who’re interested, the Vivo Y20 will be available in both Obsidian Black and Dawn White, while the Y20i is offered in both Nebula Blue and Dawn White colorways.

In the Indian market, the Vivo Y20i and Y20 are priced at INR11,490 (US$155) and INR12,990 (US$175) respectively.
