Realme has officially confirmed that the company will be unleashing their next generation’s Realme 7 series smartphones on September 3rd next month. The launch will coincidentally be held just a day after the official announcement of the OPPO F17 Pro.
This time round, a total of two devices, including the vanilla Realme 7 and 7 Pro are expected to break cover during the event. Based on recent leaks, the Realme 7 is expected to feature a LCD display, while the higher-end 7 Pro is expected to arrive with an AMOLED display. Surprisingly, the Realme 7 is said to feature a higher 90Hz refresh rate than the “Pro” model which has a standard 60Hz refresh rate.
In terms of their underlying chipset, the Realme 7 will reportedly be powered by an octa-core MediaTek G95 SoC, while the Realme 7 Pro will settle with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720G SoC instead.
Their differences also extend to the battery department. While the Realme 7 has a slightly beefier 5,000mAh battery, but it only comes with 30W fast-charging. The Realme 7 Pro on the other hand, has a toned-down 4,500mAh battery but is able to support a blazing 65W Super Dart charging. Both devices however, are expected to share the same 64 megapixels primary camera at the back.
Besides the Realme 7 series smartphones, the company will also be launching the brand new X7 series smartphones on September 1st in the Chinese market. Unlike the 7 series smartphones, the X7 series lineup is expected to be positioned within the higher-end segment.
