The wait is over! Realme has finally unleashed the much anticipated Realme 7 and 7 Pro during an online launch event today. As expected, the brand new 7-series lineup brings significant upgrades over its predecessors, while retaining its attractive price point.
On paper, the Realme 7 series smartphones seem to be decent alternatives toward the newly announced OPPO F17 series smartphones, as well as the upcoming POCO X3.
Realme 7 Pro
As usual, let’s begin with the highest-end model. The Realme 7 Pro features a 6.4-inches Super AMOLED display with FHD+ screen resolution and support for in-display fingerprint scanner.
Its tiny hole-punch cutout on the upper-left corner will be home to a 32 megapixels selfie camera.
On its back panel, it comes with a rectangular camera housing which looks pretty similar to what we’d seen on the recent Realme V5. It boasts a quad camera system headlined by a 64 megapixels Sony IMX682 camera.
The other three auxiliary cameras include a 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens with 119-degree field-of-view, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels B/W portrait sensor.
Under the hood, the Realme 7 Pro is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 720G chipset which will be paired with an option between 6GB/ 8GB of RAM, as well as 128GB onboard storage.
To keep its light on, the device is helmed by a huge 4,500mAh battery which carries support for the insanely-fast 65W Super Dart charging – the fastest within the price segment. Last but not the least, the Realme 7 Pro also features a dual stereo speaker.
Coming to its pricing, the Realme 7 Pro will be priced at INR19,999 (US$273/ S$372) for its 6GB+128GB model and INR21,999 (US$299/ S$408) for the bumped up 8GB+128GB model.
Realme 7
Next up, there is also the slightly more affordable Realme 7. This device features a 6.5-inches FHD+ LCD display accompanied by a dewdrop-notch which houses a 16 megapixels selfie camera.
Though the device has downgraded from an AMOLED to a LCD display, but its screen refresh rate has been upped from 60Hz to 90HZ instead.
Over at the back, the Realme 7 also has a quad camera system which will include a 64 megapixels Sony IMX682 primary shooter, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 2 megapixels b/w sensor, as well as a 2 megapixels depth helper.
As we know, the Realme 7 is the first smartphone in the world to debut with the latest MediaTek G95 SoC. It will be assisted by 8GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage in the memory department. To keep its light on, the device is fitted with a massive 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast-charging support.
In terms of pricing, the Realme 7 will be priced at INR14,999 (US$204/ S$279) and INR16,999 (US$231/ S$316) respectively for its 6GB+64GB and 8GB+128GB models.
