After a long wait, AnTuTu is finally back with the list of top 10 best performing flagship phones for the month of August. This time round, there is a major overhaul to the top 10 positions with last month’s top-scorer OPPO Find X2 Pro (Review) now slides to the sixth position.
As usual, the data source of this ranking was culminated from AnTuTu Benchmark V8 from August 1st to 31st. It’s worth noting that the average score was calculated from more than 1,000 devices, and may continue to change as more devices are being benchmarked.
For the month of August, the newly announced Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra had overthrown the OPPO Find X2 Pro to become the best performing flagship phone with an impressive score of 646,730 points. The device is driven by the flagship Snapdragon 865 SoC, paired with a top-tier memory configuration consisting of 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 flash storage.
Moving on, the recently launched iQOO 5 had also emerged in the second position after displacing the OPPO Find X2 with an amazing score of 637,616 points. Just like the Mi 10 Ultra, the iQOO 5 is also powered by a Snapdragon 865 SoC alongside 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 flash storage.
In the third position, we also have the ASUS ROG Phone 3 – the first Snapdragon 865 Plus-powered smartphone to appear in the top 10 positions. Since the Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset is notably more powerful than the Snapdragon 865 SoC, but better software optimization had allowed the Mi 10 Ultra and iQOO 5 to edge past the ROG Phone 3.
Subsequently, the forth to tenth positions were dominated Black Shark 3s, Vivo X50 Pro+, OPPO Find X2 Pro, OPPO Find X2, Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, iQOO Neo 3, as well as Redmi K30 Pro.
For the month of September, we wouldn’t expect to see much changes to the top 10 positions. However, some possible smartphones we might see include the iQOO 5 Pro, Redmi K30 Ultra, ASUS Zenfone 7 Pro, as well as the Lenovo Legion Duel.
