Huawei Mate 40 Series Four Models Likely to Debut in Mid-October

Huawei was expected to announce the Mate 40 series of flagship phones this month. However, its arrival has been reportedly delayed due to the U.S. sanctions. Recent reports have claimed that the Mate 40 series will break cover in China in October, and it will be releasing in the global markets in the coming year.

Today, a web blogger has claimed on Weibo that the Mate 40 series will include four models and it will be releasing in the Chinese markets by the end of the coming month.

According to the him, Huawei will hold a global launch event for the Mate40 series in mid-October, and will subsequently release the Mate 40 series in the Chinese markets by the end of October.

He has claimed that the Mate 40 series includes four devices. Probably, these devices could be arriving in the market as Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+, and Mate 40 RS Porsche Design.

Furthermore, another tipster also claimed that Huawei is gearing up to introduce a 66W fast charger. Hence, it appears some of the Mate 40 series devices will carry support for 66W fast charging.

Rumors have that the Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+ and Mate RS Porsche Design could be driven by the Kirin 9000 chipset. The Mate 40 could be fueled by the Kirin 9000E, which is believed to be an enhanced version of the Kirin 990 chipset.

Recent reports have claimed that because of the sanctions, the Chinese firm will be able to manufacturer has around 10 million units of the Kirin 9000 SoC. This indicates that there could be only 10 million units of Mate 40 series smartphones available for purchase across the world.
