Huawei Mate 40 to Debut on October 15, Claims Leak

Last year, Huawei announced the Mate 30 series in September. However, the arrival of the Mate 40 lineup has been delayed mainly due to the U.S. sanctions. There have been rumors that the Mate 40 series will go official by mid-October. A fresh leak claims that the Mate 40 lineup will be announced on Oct. 15 globally.

The October month has started, and the company is still silent on the launch date of the Mate 40 series. It is speculated that the lineup includes as many as four devices such as Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+, and Mate 40 PS Porsche Design.

The new leak suggests that the global announcement of the Mate 40 series will take on Oct. 17. And it appears that there will be a dedicated launch event for China on Oct. 22. Past reports have claimed that the Mate 40 series will hit the international markets in the coming year despite going official this year.

It is unclear which other devices will be made official at the Mate 40 launch event. The Mate X2 has recently received Wi-Fi certification and it was spotted in TENAA’s database in the recent past. Its arrival seems to be drawing near, but there are no leaks on whether it will be announced alongside the Mate 40 series.

Rumors are rife that the Mate 40 will come equipped with the Kirin 9000E chipset, which is believed to be an upgraded version of the Kirin 990. The Mate 40 Pro models and RS Porsche Design could feature the more powerful Kirin 9000 chipset. Hopefully, Huawei will release an official confirmed the Mate 40 launch date later this week.
