Today, Vivo announced its latest custom ROM called OriginOS. It replaces the FunTouchOS that came preinstalled on Vivo phones. The OriginOS offers a renewed experienced in terms of UI as compared to its predecessor. The upcoming Vivo X60 series is expected to arrive as the first phones loaded with the all-new OriginOS.
The homescreen available on the OriginOS comes with a desktop-like grid system called Huarong Grid. Each grid can be freely arranged and show more options to let users control different apps from the homescreen. It brings motion wallpapers that showcase the blooming process of different flowers in just a few seconds.
There is atomic notification system of the OriginaOS can organize notifications. The notifications can show on the desktop grids available on the homescreen. It ensures that the key information appears without disturbance, which disappears on its own at the right time.
The OriginOS supports easy-to-use navigation gestures. All in all, it offers users 26 navigation combinations for different mainstream operations. The weather widget offers intuitive temperature information. The day’s temperature is shown in 90 color values so that can easily glance to see changes like cold and warmth.
There is a Super Card on the OriginOS which can be summoned anytime with a single swipe whether the phone’s display is off or when the phone is displaying something else. One can personalize the payment types that can be shown on the card pack. There is a parallel world that allows users to switch to the regular Android interface if they do not want to use the new interface.
For enhanced performance, the OriginOS tags along with memory fusion, process optimization, and app preloading under Multi-Turbo 5.0 system. Through algorithm optimization, the OriginOS can integrate RAM and ROM together. This allows the latter to function as RAM when memory is low.
