Huawei’s partnership with Leica isn’t over

Since 2016, Huawei has been engaging in close partnership with photography giant Leica to develop the next-generation’s camera system for their flagship phones from the “P” and “Mate” series.

To be more specific, their partnership includes a total of four components including Sensors, lenses, ISP, and tuning (via ZDNet) which has proven to be fruitful as the new flagship models never fail to top DxOMark whenever they’re launched.

Earlier this morning, there were rumors circulating on Weibo and Twitter claiming that the partnership between Huawei and Leica had came to an end. However, Huawei is quick to refute the claim and deemed it as nothing but a fake news (via Android Authority).

Most Huawei fans of course, will be glad to accept the earlier claim as fake news as it mean that the two companies are still in close working relationship for the next flagship model likely to be the Huawei P50 series smartphones.

Having impressed by the Huawei Mate 40 Pro‘s camera capabilities, we are certainly thrilled to see what Huawei and Leica will bring us in the upcoming P50 series smartphones!
