As scheduled, Motorola has officially announced a new 5G budget smartphone known as the Motorola G 5G in the Indian market that’s touted to be the most affordable 5G device in India.
The Motorola G 5G is built around a 6.7-inches FHD+ IPS LCD display that comes with HDR10 support. In terms of design, the device employs a central hole-punch design at the front that houses a 16 megapixels selfie camera.
Over at the back, the Motorola G 5G features a squarish camera module which is home to a triple camera system consisting of a 48 megapixels (f/1.7 aperture) primary shooter, 8 megapixels (f/2.2 aperture) ultra-wide lens, as well as a 2 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) macro camera.
The device will be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset which was also used in the recently announced Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G and the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G. This will be paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD slot.
Keeping its lights on will be a massive 5,000mAh battery that comes with 20W Turbocharge fast-charging support. On the software-side, the device will boot on the company’s in-house MyUX UI based on the Android 10 OS.
Aside from that, other key features that accompany the device also include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack, as well as support for NFC connectivity.
For those who’re interested, the Motorola Moto G 5G is available in two different color options including Volcanic Gray and Frosted Silver. It will be priced at INR20,999 (US$238) for its sole 6GB+128GB model.
