Upcoming MediaTek MT6893 Scores 622K+ on AnTuTu Benchmarks

Recent reports have revealed that the MediaTek MT6893 is the next major chipset from the brand. It is expected to offer better performance than the Dimensity 1000+ chipset that debuted earlier this year. Also, it is expected to deliver a performance similar to the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. Today, the unannounced MediaTek MT6893 emerged at AnTuTu benchmarks to reveal its specs and performance.

The screenshot of the AnTuTu listing shown above shows that the forthcoming MediaTek MT6893 is an octa-core processor that has quad cores of Cortex-A55 and quad cores of Cortex-A78 CPU clocking at 3GHz. The SoC includes a Mali-G77 GPU.

The listing also reveals that the MT6893 chipset supports UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 RAM. Recently, MediaTek had teased the arrival of a premium 6nm chipset with Coretex-A78 CPU and 3GHz clocking speeds. The AnTuTu listing suggests that MediaTek may have teased the arrival of the MT6893 chipset. It is expected to debut in the market with Dimensity branding. Probably, it may go official in the coming month.

Coming to the AnTuTu listing, the MT6893 chipset is seen powering a mysterious engineering unit that is labelled as “alps.” It is running on the latest Android 11 OS and it comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of built-in storage. The device supports a refresh rate of 90Hz.

The MT6893 powered device recorded an average benchmarking score of 622,409. In the CPU, GPU, memory, and UX benchmarking tests, the handset scored 175,351, 235,175, 123535, and 88,348, respectively. It is speculated that there is a variant of the chipset with MT6891 model number. At present, there is no new information on its capabilities.
