As usual, its the time of the year again when smartphone OEMs are jostling to be among the first to launch a new smartphone with the latest Qualcomm flagship chip – which we can totally understand due to the immense marketing value to launch the “first smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888”.
So far, here’s the list of officially confirmed smartphones that will be launched with the all-new Snapdragon 888 SoC:
Xiaomi Mi 11

Though we are still weeks or months away from its actual launch, but the folks over at GSMArena and renowned leaker Ishan Agarwal had already shared the official image of the device which showcases its rear design. Apparently, the device shares an utterly close resemblance to the OPPO Ace2 that was launched in the Chinese market earlier this year.
Other than that, it was also confirmed that the upcoming Realme “Race” will feature 12 gigs of RAM and boots on Android 11 out of the box.

So there’s always a likelihood that the upcoming Snapdragon 888-fueled smartphone could come from the “NEX” series. Otherwise, there’s also rumors that the device may come from the “X60” series as well.
As for Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO, the company had also confirmed to be launching a smartphone that runs on the Snapdragon 888 chipset. If the company retains the same nomenclature, then the upcoming flagship series is expected to debut as iQOO 6 series.
ZTE Axon 30 Series
As we know, the ZTE Axon 10s Pro was the first smartphone to be launched with the Snapdragon 865 chipset this year. Therefore, it doesn’t came much as a surprise that the Axon 30 will be among the first devices to feature the Snapdragon 888 SoC this year.
Of course, it will be interesting to see whether the ZTE Axon 30 is able to snatch the Xiaomi Mi 11’s glory by becoming the first to launch with the Snapdragon 888 SoC this year.
