After making its official debut in the Chinese market earlier this month, the much anticipated OPPO Reno5 are now heading to the global market with Vietnam being among the first to launch the new smartphone on December 30th.
Interestingly, the registration page doesn’t mention anything about its higher-end Reno5 Pro sibling so it remains to be seen whether this model will be launched during the upcoming launch event.
Coming to the global variant of the OPPO Reno5, it will be slightly different from the Chinese variant in several aspects. Firstly, the device will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 720G chipset instead of the Snapdragon 765G SoC and will therefore be lacking of 5G connectivity.
Next, it’ll also ditch the 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 for the first generation’s 50W SuperVOOC flash charging instead. However, it’ll be equipped with an upgraded 44 megapixels selfie camera in place of the 32 megapixels sensor found in the Chinese variant.
Other than that, the rest of the specs remain largely unchanged including the same 90Hz FHD+ AMOLED display, 64MP quad cameras, 4,300mAh battery, as well as the latest ColorOS 11 running out of the box.
In terms of pricing, the OPPO Reno5 is expected to be priced at around VND 8,990,000 (US$387).
