Besides the Redmi Note 9T 5G, Xiaomi is also currently prepping another entry-level smartphone known as the Redmi 9T which is expected to be launched in several Asian markets in early January. More specifically, Malaysia will be one of the first countries to launch this highly-anticipated handset.
This device however, has been confirmed to be a rebranded model of the Redmi 9 Power which was launched in India last month according to several unboxing videos which were uploaded on YouTube.
As such, we can expected the Redmi 9T to arrive with largely similar specs as the current Redmi 9 Power. At the front, the Redmi 9T will feature a 6.53-inches FHD+ LCD display that comes with a typical dewdrop-notch that houses houses an 8 megapixels selfie camera.
Under the hood, the Redmi 9T is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 662 chipset along with up to 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card.
In the camera department, the device comes with a quad camera system that includes a 48 megapixels primary shooter, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a pair of 2 megapixels cameras for macro and depth information.
Keeping its lights on will be a 6,000mAh battery that comes with 18W fast-charging support. Other than that, you can also expect to find a 3.5mm headphone jack, side-mounted fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers.
