Just yesterday, Realme announced a new affordable 5G mid-ranger smartphone in the Chinese market known as the Realme V15. Now, this device is also expected to make its way to the global market after it was spotted on several regulatory bodies including India’s BIS authority.
In fact, this isn’t really surprising given that the company had previously announced their intention to expand the V and X7 series portfolio to the global market during the recent IFA event.
So far, the Realme V15 smartphone has attracted huge popularity within the Chinese market, garnering more than 500,000 registrations even before its official launch. There is no doubt that the company is looking to replicate its success in the global market as well.
As a recap, the Realme V15 features 6.4-inches AMOLED display which boasts a FHD+ screen resolution as well as an in-display fingerprint scanner. As usual, the front display dons a hole-punch cutout on the upper-left corner that accommodates a 16 megapixels selfie camera.
Under the hood, the Realme V15 is powered by an octa-core mediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset which allows the device to support both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G modes. It will be paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage in the memory department.
For photography, the device arrives with a triple-camera setup comprising of a 64 megapixels primary shooter, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera. Interestingly, the Realme V15 actually comes with protruding lenses for its rear cameras similar to what we saw on the OPPO Reno4 Pro (Review).
To keep its lights on, the Realme V15 is helmed by a respectable 4,310mAh battery that comes with support for 50W fast-charging that’s capable of charging the device from 0 to 50% within 18 minutes. On the software-side, the device will be loaded with the custom Realme UI on Android 10 OS.
In China, the device is priced at 1,499 Yuan (US$232) and 1,999 Yuan (US$310) respectively for its 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB models.
