Huawei Mate X2 Specifications Leaked After TENAA certification

Yesterday, the upcoming Huawei Mate X2 was spotted at the TENAA certification platform of China with its TET-AN00 and TET-AN10 model numbers. Today, a reliable tipster from China took to Weibo to share the detailed specs of the Mate X2.

Huawei Mate X2 Specifications (Unconfirmed)

The leak reveals that the engineering prototype of the Huawei Mate X2 is equipped with an 8.01-inch internal screen that offers a resolution of 2480 x 2220 pixels. The front side of the device has a secondary display of 6.45 inches that offers a resolution of 2700 x 1160 pixels. It will come preloaded with Android 10 OS.

At the front, the device is fitted with a selfie camera of 16-megapixel. The rear camera setup of the device includes a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 16-megapixel secondary lens, a 12-megapixel tertiary camera, and a fourth camera of 8-megapixel. The rear cameras seemingly support 10x hybrid optical zoom.

The leak mentions that the Huawei Mate X2 is fueled by the Kirin 9000 processor. It has a rated battery of 4,400mAh capacity and it carries support for 65W fast charging. The device measures 161.8 x 145.8 x 8.2mm and weighs 295 grams. The TENAA certification of the Mate X2 is a good hint that its launch in China could be drawing near.

The specs leak corroborates with previous leaks that claim that the Huawei Mate X2 will be adopting an in-folding design. However, it does not tell anything about the launch date of the foldable smartphone. The device will be arriving as the successor to the Huawei Mate Xs that went official in February last year. Hence, it remains to be seen whether the Chinese manufacturer announces the Mate X2 in the coming month.
