Leaked information that appeared in November last year revealed that Sony plans to launch three new phones in February 2021. The first one is a flagship phone called the Sony Xperia 1 III, followed by a midrange device named Xperia 10 III, and a third model called Xperia L5. Reputed tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer has leaked the CAD renders of the Xperia 10 III smartphone ahead of its rumored launch.

The CAD renders show that the design of the Sony Xperia 10 III resembles last year’s Xperia 10 II phone. Like its predecessor, the Xperia 10 III has thick bezels surrounding the screen. According to the leak, the handset measures 154.4 x 68.4 x 8.3mm, and its thickness increases to 9.1mm at the camera bump. In comparison, the predecessor model measured 157 x 69 x 8.2mm.

The Xperia 10 III has a flat display of 6.0 inches. Probably, it could be sporting an OLED screen like the predecessor model. Its thick forehead has an 8-megapixel selfie snapper and a speaker. There is another speaker present in the bottom bezel of the device Hence, Xperia 10 III promises to offer a stereo output.

The Xperia 10 III has a vertical camera housing on its back. It is likely that the setup may feature a primary camera of 12-megapixel, and a pair of 8-megapixel sensors for telephoto and ultrawide shots. Lastly, the device is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Previous reports have revealed that the Xperia 10 III will be driven by the Snapdragon 690 5G mobile platform. Hence, it is speculated to break cover as the company’s first 5G-ready mid-range smartphone.
