Honor V40 is heading to the global market soon

Last month, Honor officially announced the company’s first smartphone after its independence from Huawei. This device, known as the Honor V40, had been recently certified by the European Economic Community (EEC), hinting its imminent launch in the global market.

Other than the Honor V40 (YOK-N49), Honor is also expected to launch four other smartphones bearing the model numbers CHL-LX1, HJC-LX9C, NTN-LX1 and NZA-LX9N. For the Honor HJC-LX9C and NZA-LX9N, we do know from their TENAA listings that they will be a mid-ranger and entry-level smartphones respectively.

Although there isn’t any information on the other two devices, but we do believe the main focus will still be placed on the Honor V40 which is likely to make its global debut under the Honor View40 moniker.

As a quick recap, the Honor V40 sports a vibrant 6.72-inches OLED display that offers a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate upfront, as well as support for DCI-P3 color gamut and 10-bits color depth. Other than that, it also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 16 megapixels clicker upfront for selfie and video-calling purposes.

At the back, the device has a rectangular camera island which is home to a triple-camera setup lead by a 50 megapixels (f/1.56 aperture) RYYB primary shooter which promises exceptional low-light performance. It will be assisted by 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera as well as 2 megapixels macro camera for close-up shots.

Under the hood,  the Honor V40 will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB onboard storage in the memory department.

Keeping its lights on is a respectable 4,000mAh battery which comes support for 66W fast wired charging which is capable of fueling the device from 0 to 60% within a short span of just 15 minutes.
