Redmi Teases Arrival of Redmi K40 and K40 Pro

In January, Redmi confirmed that it will be debuting the Redmi K40 series in February. Earlier this month, the company confirmed that it will be holding a launch event on Feb. 25 to announce the K40 series. Today, it confirmed that it will be announcing two flagship phones. Hence, it is now being speculated that the company could be teasing the arrival of the Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro smartphones.

The TENAA telecom authority of China had recently approved two Xiaomi models such as M2012K11AC and M2012K211C. Both phones were found to be equipped with identical designs and specifications. These devices are expected to hit the Chinese markets as Redmi K40 and K40 Pro, respectively.

The TENAA listings of these devices have revealed only limited information on their specs. The K40 models were found to be equipped with 6.67-inch screens and 4,420mAh batteries. Both phones are expected to feature OLED screens with support for up to 120Hz refresh rate. These phones will come preloaded with Android 11 OS and are expected to offer 33W rapid charging.

The above shown poster released by Redmi today shows that the Redmi K40 series will be sporting a triple camera system. The poster confirms that the M2012K11AC and M2012K211C that were spotted are indeed Redmi K40 series smartphones. Unfortunately, the camera details of the K40 series are yet to be confirmed. Both handsets are likely to house different cameras.

The Snapdragon 888 will fuel the Redmi K40 Pro and its base model could be priced at 2,999 Yuan ($462). It is unclear which processor will be powering the Redmi K40.
