Xiaomi will be launching the much anticipated Redmi K40 series smartphone on March 25th, this Thursday. Ahead of its launch, the Redmi K40 series devices are already available for registration of interests on ecommerce giant JD.com.
As expected, the Redmi K40 series smartphones continue to garner huge interests in the Chinese market, achieving more than 260,000 registrations shortly after the device was officially listed.
This time round, Xiaomi is launching a pair of Redmi K40 series smartphones during the launch event. From what we’d learned so far, the “Pro” model will be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 888 chipset, while the vanilla model could be driven by either a MediaTek Dimensity 1000 series chipset or a Snapdragon 7/ 8 series chip.
So far, Xiaomi had already confirmed that the Redmi K40 series devices will feature Samsung E4 material OLED panel upfront that supports an ultra-smooth 120Hz screen refresh rate.
On top of that, they are also be equipped with a respectable 4,520mAh battery which is likely to support 33W fast-charging. In the camera department, there will be a triple-camera setup of unknown configuration.
