Redmi K40 will launch in several Asian markets under POCO’s branding

Redmi had just announced the all-new K40 flagship series in the Chinese market yesterday. Now, the vanilla Redmi K40 smartphone bearing the model number M2012K11AG has been spotted in Singapore’s IMDA database under the POCO branding which isn’t really surprising since the Redmi K30 Pro was also launched as the POCO F2 Pro in Singapore last year.

Although there isn’t any information with regards to the actual identity of this smartphone, but it could possibly be launched under POCO’s F series. Since this device is a rebranded model of the Redmi K40, we can expect it to share largely similar specs as the latter.

As a quick recap, the Redmi K40 sports a 6.67-inches Samsung E4 AMOLED display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution, as well as a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. On top of that, it also carries support for DCI-P3 color space and HDR10+.

In the camera department, the Redmi K40 relies on a triple-camera setup consisting of a 48 megapixels primary shooter, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera, as well as a 5 megapixels telephoto camera. This will be rounded out by a 20 megapixels selfie camera upfront.

Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 870 chipset coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage which doesn’t supports a microSD card for memory expansion.

Keeping its lights on is none other than a 4,520mAh battery (with 33W fast-charging) support. According to Xiaomi, a full charge from 0 to 100% will take a mere 52 minutes thanks to their optimized charging solution.
