Today, Sprint support page has confirmed that the Android 4.4 update is now available for their HTC One devices. However , this isn’t a typical kind of software update rolled out by the carrier as users will have to manually initiate the Android 4.4 update by going to Settings > About phone > Software update. We have no idea what’s going on but we quite like their new method of pushing out software updates to users this way.
For those who doesn’t like the hassle to manually update their HTC One smartphone can choose to wait for the OTA update starting on February 11th this month. This will make Sprint the first carrier in U.S. to bring the latest KitKat update to HTC One users. Although Sprint has yet to release the offical changelogs for the update, but we already knew that it will bring the latest Sense 5.5 to the device as well as other features that comes along with Android 4.4.
Do share with us more about the update if you’re one of these lucky users!
