iQOO Neo5’s First Sale Exceeds 100 Million Yuan in 10 Seconds

On March 16, iQOO announced the iQOO Neo5 smartphone in China and as scheduled, it went on sale at 00:00 AM (local time). Around 40 minutes after it was made available for purchase, the company took to its Weibo account to confirm that its sale exceeded the 100 million Yuan mark in the first 10 seconds. This translates to between 33,344 and 40,016 units of the Neo5 were sold in the first ten seconds.

The iQOO Neo5 is available for purchase in China in three variants such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. They are priced at 2,499 Yuan ($384), 2,699 Yuan ($415). and 2,999 Yuan ($460), respectively. It comes in colors like black, blue, and orange.

The iQOO Neo5 has a 6.62-inch S-AMOLED display that produces a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display punch-hole houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera, and its back panel has a triple camera setup, which includes a 48-megapixel Sony IMX589 lens with OIS support, a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

The Snapdragon 870 chipset is present under the hood of the Neo5. The SoC is coupled with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It comes preinstalled with iQOO UI-based Android 11 OS.2

The iQOO Neo5 has a 4,400mAh battery that carries support for 66W fast charging support. It offers users other features like an in-display fingerprint reader, NFC, and 5G support.
