Lenovo will be unleashing the Legion 2 Pro gaming smartphone in China on April 8. Ahead of the launch, it has appeared at China’s Master Lu benchmarks to reveal its key specifications.
The Legion 2 Pro has emerged with its L70081 model number at Master Lu benchmarks. The listing reveals that the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 888 mobile platform and its screen supports a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels. This indicates that the handset will support an aspect ratio of 20.5:9.
The recently announced gaming phones such as Nubia Red Magic 6 Pro, ASUS ROG Phone 5 Ultimate, and Black Shark 4 Pro are all equipped with Snapdragon 888 mobile platform and 16 GB of RAM. The Master Lu listing of the Legion 2 Pro states that it is powered by the SD888 chip and 16 GB of RAM. The device has managed to record an impressive score of 962,155 on Master Lu benchmarks.
Master Lu revealed that the 16 GB RAM variant of the Legion 2 Pro will offer 512 GB of native storage. It further mentioned that the handset will be available in two other choices like 12 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage.
The smartphone was certified by the 3C authority of China last month. It revealed that the phone may come equipped with a 65W fast charger. The original Legion Pro that debuted last year came with two USB-C ports, which allowed users to connect two 45W charger at the same time. This allowed the phone to support 90W charging.
Rumors are rife that the Legion 2 Pro will also feature a pair of USB-C ports. Hence, there is a possibility that it may support up to 110W fast charging by connecting two 65W chargers simultaneously. It is also speculated to feature a side-facing pop-up selfie camera like the original Legion Pro handset.
