On March 31, Realme announced the Realme GT Neo as the world’s first smartphone powered by the all-new 6nm Dimensity 1200 chipset in China. As confirmed at the launch event, the handset went on sale at 00:00 AM (local time) on April 8 in China. Within minutes of making it available for purchase, Realme confirmed that it generated 100 million Yuan revenue in just 10 seconds.
Realme is selling three variants of the Realme GT Neo in China such as 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. These models are priced at 1,799 Yuan ($275), 1,999 Yuan ($305), and 2,399 Yuan ($366), respectively. The highest variant was made available at an inductor pricing of 2,299 Yuan ($351) only for the first sale. It seems that the company sold around 43,500 to 55,590 units of the Realme GT Neo in its debut sale.
Realme GT Neo Specifications
The Realme GT Neo flaunts a 6.43-inch S-AMOLED screen that offers 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a high refresh rate of 120Hz. The Dimensity 1200 chipset is present under the hood of the device. It is assisted by LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
It is fitted with a 16-megapixel camera for capturing selfies. The triple camera system placed on the backside has a 64-megapixel primary lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide shooter with a 119-degree FOV, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The device is backed by a 4,500mAh battery, which supports 50W fast charging.
The Realme UI 2.0 based Android 11 OS comes preloaded on the Realme GT Neo. It offers other features like a 3.5mm audio jack and an in-screen fingerprint reader. The device lacks support for a microSD card slot.
