Last month, Black Shark announced the company’s next-generation Black Shark 4 series smartphones in the Chinese market. Fast-forward one month, the company has now extended the availability of the vanilla Black Shark 4 to the global market as well.
According to Black Shark, open sale for the Black Shark 4 will commence on May 6th, and will be priced at $499/€499/£429 for its 8GB+128GB variant and $599/€599/£519 for its higher-end 12GB+256GB variant.
As a quick recap, the Black Shark 4 sports a 6.67” AMOLED display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution, as well as a smooth 144Hz refresh rate and up to 720Hz touch sampling rate.
Under the hood, the vanilla Black Shark 4 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 870 chipset which is also found in many prominent smartphone models including the recently unveiled POCO F3.
For photography, the device feature a triple-camera setup at the back comprising of a 48 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera, as well as a 5 megapixels macro camera. This will be rounded out by a 20 megapixels selfie camera upfront.
To keep its light on, the phone draws power from a respectable 4,500mAh battery which carries support for 120W fast-charging support. As usual, it will be shipped with JOYUI 12.5 based on Android 11 out of the box.
