OPPO Reno6 Series to Launch on May 27 in China

Today, OPPO released an official confirmation through its Weibo account that it will be launching the Reno6 series of smartphones at 6 PM (local time) on May 27 in China. Reports have revealed that the lineup will include three models as Reno6, Reno6 Pro, and Reno6 Pro+.

Reports have revealed that the OPPO phones with a model number such as PEQM00, PEPM00, and PENM00, which were recently approved by the TENAA authority of China could be the forthcoming Reno6, Reno6 Pro, and Reno6 Pro+ smartphones.

The Reno6 is expected to feature a 6.43-inch FHD+ OLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate support. Rumors are rife that it could be debuting as the world’s first phone powered by the all-new Dimensity 900 chip.

The TENAA listings of the Reno6 Pro and Reno6 Pro+ have revealed that they are equipped with 6.55-inch FHD+ OLED panels. Both phones are rumored to arrive with a 90Hz refresh rate. The Dimensity 1200 SoC is speculated to power the Reno6, whereas the Reno6 Pro+ could be featuring the Snapdragon 870.

For selfies, the Reno6 lineup may come with a 32-megapixel front camera. The Reno6 Pro has a 64-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel quad-camera system, while the Pro+ model has a 50-megapixel + 16-megapixel + 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel quad-camera setup. It is speculated that the Pro+ handset will feature the Sony IMX766 lens as the primary camera. The vanilla model has a 64-megapixel quad-camera system.

The Reno6 series of smartphones are expected to ship with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. The Reno6 are likely to be powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging support.
