Earlier this month, POCO announced the company’s brand new POCO M3 Pro targeted towards the budget 5G segment. Now, the company has confirmed that they had sold more than 50,000 units of the device during the first 48 hours of it’s debut sale on AliExpress.
At the moment, the POCO M3 Pro 5G is available for purchase only in the European markets where the phone retails for 159 Euros (US$194) and 179 Euros (US$218) for it’s 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB variants. However, the phone will soon be heading to other markets including Singapore and Malaysia next week.
POCO M3 Pro Specifications
The POCO M3 Pro rocks a youthful and trendy design that’s unlike most of the budget phones we see in the market. It’s available in three different colorways including Power Black, Cool Blue, as well as the signature POCO Yellow which we really love.
Upfront, the phone features a 6.5” LCD display that brings you a sharp FHD_ screen resolution and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate which supports what POCO calls the DynamicSwitch feature which automatically adapt it’s refresh rate base on the onscreen contents. Most importantly, the front display is also topped with a layer of Gorilla Glass 3 to protect the phone against accidental drops or scratches.
For photography, you get a triple-camera setup at the back which consists of a 48 megapixels main camera, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor. This will be accompanied by an 8 megapixels front-facing shooter for selfie and video-calling purposes.
Under the hood, the POCO M3 Pro is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset which is also found in some of the recently announced devices like the Realme 8 5G. In the memory department, you do have an option between 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB.
To keep it’s light on, the phone draws power from a 5,000mAh battery which carries support for 18W fast-charging. Other than that, it also brings along a 3.5mm headphone jack, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, microSD slot, as well as NFC connectivity.
