Earlier this week, we’d heard about the existence of an upcoming Vivo mid-ranger smartphone known as the Vivo Y73. Now, the company itself has finally released the first-ever teaser of the handset which will reportedly debut in the coming week.
Interestingly, the teaser has given us a glimpse of the phone’s rear design which coincides with the recent leaked image of the device. On the out6side, the Vivo Y73 will share a largely similar rear design as the Vivo V21e which was launched in Malaysia back in April this year.
Specs-wise however, there will be some notable contrasts between the two. Upfront, the Vivo Y73 is expected to feature a 6.44” AMOLED display which offers a FHD+ screen resolution, and carries support for HDR10 playback as well as an in-display fingerprint scanner.
In the camera department, the phone gets a triple-camera setup at the back consisting of a 64 megapixels main camera, 2 megapixels bokeh camera, as well as a 2 megapixels macro unit. This will be rounded out by a 16 megapixels front-facing camera for selfie and video-calling purposes.
Under the hood, the Vivo Y73 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G95 chipset which is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage that can be further expanded by up to 1TB via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, it draws power from a 4,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. On the software-side, it’s shipped with FuntouchOS 11.1 based on Android 11 out of the box.
