Following the launch of the Nokia G10 and G20 smartphones earlier this year, Nokia is now looking to expand it’s G-series portfolio with the (imminent) launch of the Nokia G50 smartphone.
The folks over at Nokiamob apparently spotted a video teaser that was accidentally published on Instagram by Nokia Mobile over the weekend which revealed the phone in it’s Blue and Midnight Sun colorways.
The Instagram post reportedly carries a translated text which read ”As durable as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the G50 phone offers incredible battery life, 5G speed, and a 48 Megapixels camera!”.
As seen in the teaser, the Nokia G50 will arrive with a largely identical design as the Nokia G20 including it’s waterdrop-notch display upfront as well as the familiar-looking circular camera island on the rear side.
It should be noted however, that the Nokia G50 will be featuring a triple-cam setup instead of a quad-camera system which we’d seen on the Nokia G20 despite sharing the same 48MP main camera.
Based on what we’d learned so far, the Nokia G50 is expected to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 480 chipset just like the recently announced Nokia XR20. On top of that, the phone is also tipped to feature up to 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage in the memory department.
