Meizu 18s, 18s Pro, 18x to Launch on September 22

Meizu has confirmed today that it will be holding a launch event at 3:30 PM on Sept. 22 to announce a wide range of products. Apart from launching the Meizu 18s, Meizu 18s Pro, and Meizu 18X smartphones, it will also be announcing 30 new products including Flyme UI, Lipro, and PANDAER.

Three Meizu handsets model numbers such as M182Q, M192Q, and M172Q have been recently approved by China’s TENAA and 3C regulatory bodies. Reports suggest that these smartphones will break cover as the Meizu 18s, Meizu 18s Pro, and Meizu 18x.

The TENAA listings have revealed the specifications and images of the Meizu 18s and 18s Pro handsets. It is yet to list the specs of the Meizu 18x.

Meizu 18s, 18s Pro, and Meizu 18x Specifications

The Meizu 18s will feature a 6.2-inch AMOLED 120Hz display, whereas the 18s Pro has a 6.7-inch AMOLED 120Hz panel. Both phones offer a Quad HD+ resolution and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. Both phones will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset. The vanilla model has a 3,910mAh rated battery with 36W fast charging, whereas the Pro variant gets a 4,410mAh rated battery with 40W rapid charging.

The Meizu 18s has a 20-megapixel front camera, while the Pro model has a 44-megapixel selfie camera. The vanilla model has a 64-megapixel + 16-megapixel + 8-megapixel triple camera unit. On the other side, the Pro variant is fitted with a 50-megapixel + 32-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 0.3-megapixel quad-camera setup.

The Meizu 18x is speculated to arrive with a 6.2-inch AMOLED panel that offers FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 870 chipset is likely to fuel the device. it may house a 4,200mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging. For photography, it may feature a 64-megapixel triple camera unit.
