Recently, there was a report claiming that the Huawei Mate 50 series smartphones could be announced as early as October next month.
This however, is likely to be nothing more than a falsehood according to a new rumor which suggests that the Mate 50 series will be launched in Q1 2022 instead.
While that certainly isn’t a good news for Huawei fans, but the purported time frame for it’s launch appears to be more in line with past reports which had more or less agreed that the Mate 50 series launch date will be delayed due to chip shortage as a result of the ongoing U.S. trade war.
Adding on, the new rumor also reaffirmed earlier claims that the Huawei Mate 50 series smartphones will be powered by the forthcoming 4G-only Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 mobile platform.
In related news, Huawei will holding a global launch event in Vienna on October 21st next month where the company is expected to unveil the next-generation’s Huawei P50 series smartphones in the global market.
