Huawei will be holding a global launch event in Vienna on October 21st later this month. Although initial reports suggest that the company could finally be unveiling the much anticipated Huawei P50 series smartphones during the forthcoming launch event, but that’s likely to turn out as nothing more than false hope at the end of the day.
According to the latest teaser published by Huawei Romania, Huawei is expected to unleash the brand new Huawei Nova 9 series and Nova 8i devices during the October 21st launch event – so it’s probably not related to any flagship launches which most of us have been hoping for.
The Huawei Nova 9 series and Nova 8i aren’t anything new. The former was launched in the Chinese market last month, consisting of two different models including the Nova 9 and Nova 9 Pro. Both devices share quite a fair bit of similarities including a smooth 120Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 778G chipset, as well as a 50MP quad-camera system.
As for the Huawei Nova 8i, it’s the same device which was previously launched in several Asian markets including Malaysia and Philippines. It brings along a 6.67” FHD+ LCD display, Snapdragon 662 chipset, 64MP quad-camera setup, 16MP selfie camera, 4,300mAh battery, as well as 66W Huawei SuperCharge.
