Vivo Y50t goes official with Snapdragon 720G, 48MP triple-cameras & 18W fast-charging

Vivo has announced a new smartphone in it’s domestic market known as the Vivo Y50t. This model shares largely the same specs as the June-announced Vivo Y70t except for the difference in it’s underlying chipset.

The Vivo Y50t builds around a 6.53” LCD display which brings along a FHD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, as well as an 8 megapixels selfie camera that’s housed within a hole-punch cutout around the upper-left corner of the screen.

On the flipside, it has an elongated camera housing which has a total of three cameras including a 48 megapixels main camera, as well as a pair of 2 megapixels cameras to help with close-up and portrait shots.

Under the hood, the Vivo Y50t swaps the Exynos 880 chipset on the Vivo Y70t with a Snapdragon 720G chipset. This will be supplemented by 8GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.

In the battery department, the Vivo Y50t features a respectable 4,500mAh power supply that carries support for 18W fast-charging. Other than that, there’s also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired earphones. Software-wise, the phone is shipped with OriginOS 1.0 based on Android 11 out of the box.

For those who’re interested, the Vivo Y50t is available in both Black and Blue colorways, and is priced at 1,399 Yuan (US$220) for it’s 8GB+128GB model in the Chinese market.
